Ferrari Luce Sells Out 2026 Allocation Before First Delivery
Ferrari's first electric car found buyers for just under 500 cars in under two months, despite its divisive styling.
Ferrari's first fully electric model, the Luce, has sold its entire 2026 allocation of just under 500 cars in less than two months, according to Financial Times reporting cited by Electrek. Ferrari declined to comment on the figures, and customer deliveries are not due to begin until October.
Priced from 550,000 euros, the four-door, five-seat Luce was launched in Rome on 25 May. It uses four independent motors for more than 1,000 hp, a 122 kWh battery on an 880-volt architecture, 350 kW charging and a range above 530 km, with 0-100 km/h taking 2.5 seconds. The design came from LoveFrom, the studio of former Apple designers Jony Ive and Marc Newson.
The styling divided opinion, and Ferrari's shares slipped around the reveal, but demand appears to have outrun the critics. The car reportedly sold out instantly in China in June, and the company has said orders are arriving from both existing and new clients, with the order book stretching toward the end of 2027.
For Ferrari, which scaled back its 2030 electric sales target last year, the response is an important signal. For anyone hoping to add a Luce to their garage, the lesson is to get in the queue early.
