Ferrari CZ26 Reshapes the SF90 for an American Client
The latest Special Projects one-off wraps SF90 Stradale hardware in a 1970s-inspired, two-box body in silver and red.
Ferrari's Special Projects programme has delivered its latest one-off, the CZ26, commissioned by a client in the United States. Penned by the Ferrari Design Studio under Flavio Manzoni, it is built on the SF90 Stradale and retains that car's technical package.
The form is strikingly different. A horizontal, two-box shape centres on a capsule-like cabin framed by four pronounced wheel arches, with a more upright nose, a full-width grille with slim lamps and a cropped tail with a wide diffuser. Ferrari cites 1970s Italian industrial design as a reference. Argento Veloce silver is set against Rosso Lampante details, a black roof and pillars, gloss black wheels and titanium exhaust tips. Revised cooling and underbody aero increase front downforce.
Performance is SF90 territory: a 3,990 cc twin-turbo V8 with 786 hp from the engine alone, a plug-in hybrid system with up to 162 kW of electric assistance, eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and all-wheel drive. Ferrari quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and 328 km/h.
Neither price nor owner has been disclosed. Special Projects cars typically take around two years from first sketch, with the client involved throughout, and this one is heading Stateside.
