Bugatti Brouillard Delivered and Crowned at Chantilly
The first Programme Solitaire one-off reached its owner at Chantilly and took Best of Show in the concept and one-off class.
Bugatti's Brouillard, the first car created under its Programme Solitaire one-of-one initiative, has been handed over to its owner at the Chateau de Chantilly during Chantilly Arts and Elegance 2026. The handover took place at a private gathering beneath the dome of the Grandes Ecuries, with the owner's family and friends and the Bugatti team behind the project.
The weekend then turned public. Entered in the Concept Class, the Brouillard led the Bugatti parade of modern and pre-war cars and won Best of Show for concept cars, restomods and one-offs, after which the owner drove it around the gardens' famous reflecting pools. More than 700 collector cars took part in the concours.
Bugatti surrounded the Brouillard with heritage. A co-curated display included the Veyron La Maison Pur Sang 20 Years, a Sur Mesure W16 Mistral and two world-record cars, while Veyrons and a Chiron Profilee joined a rally around Chantilly. A 1925 Type 35 won the Bugatti race-car class.
The award gives Programme Solitaire an early validation as Bugatti revives the coachbuilding tradition, and later Solitaire commissions such as the Destrier now have a high bar to clear.
