Czinger has revealed the 21C Spyder in Los Angeles, the third variant of its 21C hypercar and the first with an open roof. Production is limited to 30 cars, each hand-assembled at the company's Area 21 facility, with prices starting at 2.75 million dollars and homologation for all 50 US states.

The drivetrain is unchanged in spirit. A 2.88-litre twin-turbo flat-plane V8 revving to 11,000 rpm makes 750 hp on its own, and three electric units, two at the front axle plus a crankshaft-mounted motor generator, take combined output to 1,250 hp and 691 lb-ft. Czinger claims 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, a quarter mile in 8.7 seconds and 205 mph with the roof fitted.

That roof is a 22 lb carbon panel released by two cabin latches, and a stowable soft top is included for passing showers. With the roof off, the Spyder still generates 3,267 lb of downforce at 150 mph, a figure Czinger says no other open road car matches. The 3D-printed BrakeNode system, standard here, cuts stopping distances by up to 15 percent, and dry weight is 3,571 lb.

Central tandem seating remains, and a rear passenger up to 6 ft 5 in can come along. Delivery timing has not been announced.
